$8.3M coming to Finger Lakes, Central New York to develop EV charging stations: Where will they be?
New York Governor Kathy Hochul announced a significant investment in electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure at the New York International Auto Show today. Over $8.3 million will be allocated to 70 municipalities across the Finger Lakes and Central New York regions, with the goal of installing more than 1,300 charging stations. The initiative is part of the state’s ambitious plans to reduce greenhouse gas emissions under the Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act.
Community health centers are filling gaps left behind by primary care shortage in NY.
A new report found Community Health Centers in New York are closing gaps left in many communities by a nationwide shortage of primary-care physicians. The findings from the National Association of Community Health Centers showed more than 4.2 million people in New York State are considered “medically disenfranchised,” and another 5.2 million are “medically underserved.”
