The Department of Homeland Security has removed a controversial list labeling communities as sanctuary jurisdictions, which included Wayne and Yates counties. The list, created under a Trump executive order, faced backlash, legal challenges, and widespread criticism for its lack of transparency. Residents are urged to hang up immediately, report the calls, and talk with vulnerable family members about the risks.
