Massive, two-alarm fire under investigation in Cayuga Co.
A massive two-alarm house fire on Willowbrook Drive in Owasco drew a multi-agency response early Wednesday, causing a partial roof collapse and requiring extensive firefighting efforts. Crews from multiple departments, including Auburn, Fleming, and Moravia, battled heavy flames for hours, deploying multiple hose lines and marine support. No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
Finger Lakes Forecast: Unsettled—albeit mild—weather ahead
The Finger Lakes region will see unsettled weather over the next few days, with multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms expected through Saturday. Temperatures will rise into the upper 70s by Friday, with the highest chances for rain and thunderstorms occurring Thursday afternoon, Friday morning, and again on Saturday. Conditions will begin to clear by Sunday night, leading to cooler, mostly sunny weather early next week with highs in the low 60s.

The Walworth Planning Board reviewed an updated application for a large solar project from Norbut Solar Farm, LLC and held a public hearing to address community and environmental concerns.
