The Geneva Family YMCA has reached a major milestone in its renovation project with the successful pouring of the concrete pad for a new 10,000-square-foot wellness center. Upcoming work includes installing window frames, a new stairwell, and completing roof repairs to ensure the facility’s long-term functionality. Despite structural challenges, the project remains on schedule and on budget, bolstered by strong community support and a $300,000 matching grant from the Lisk-Morris Foundation.
Hundreds gathered in Seneca Falls for the annual “Right to Run” race, celebrating the historic fight for women’s voting rights and honoring the legacy of early suffragists. The event commemorates the 1848 Seneca Falls Convention and the eventual passage of the 19th Amendment, underscoring how individual actions can spark lasting societal change. With over 300 runners participating, the race served as both a physical challenge and a tribute to women’s empowerment, perseverance, and the ongoing pursuit of equality.

The board also emphasized the importance of clearly marking conservation and easement areas to ensure long-term site protection and maintenance.
