Latest on officer involved shooting in Wayne County: Sheriff says deputy retreated significant distance before firing weapon
It came in as a call from the New York State Office of Mental Health, and ended in one person being non-fatally shot. Now, the sheriff’s office, New York State Police, and Attorney General’s Office are all actively engaged in the investigation in the town of Ontario.

First responders battle large fire in Macedon
Firefighters were able to prevent a home in Wayne County from becoming a total loss after a garage fire was reported around 5:50 p.m. No injuries were reported.
