At-home COVID-19 tests have become the preferred testing method for many, but those who receive positive test results at home do not have their data included in the state’s daily COVID figures.
Geneva voters will likely see proposal for staggered terms on November ballot
Geneva voters will be voting on a proposal to stagger terms for the City Council and mayor this November election. The Geneva City Council plans to hold a public hearing on Wednesday, April 6 at 7 p.m. concerning the proposed staggered terms. The hearing will be held at the public safety building.
Track at Mynderse Academy to be dedicated to longtime coach Ron Fleury
The dedication will take place on Tuesday, April 19th at 4:00 pm. He has coached the Varsity Track and Field teams since 1969, minus a few years in the late 70’s because of injuries suffered in an automobile accident and again in 2020 due to COVID and a successful battle with cancer.

A near head-on collision at a dangerous intersection in Seneca Falls resulted in one hospitalization, according to investigators. First responders from several departments were called.

Auburn city councilors will vote on a resolution this week that would impose a water rate increase of about $35/year for the average customer, the city’s first rate increase since 2016.
Waterloo to host Memorial Day festivities May 27-29 after two-year hiatus
This year’s Celebrate Commemorate event in Waterloo- the birthplace of Memorial Day- will include a Main Street parade on Saturday, May 28 and a Main Street car show on Sunday, May 29. The event-filled weekend will also include festivities in Lafayette Park like musical performers, children’s games, food vendors, a youth essay contest, and a large encampment of Civil War reenactors.
Lorrie Morgan, Cedric the Entertainer join del Lago’s summer lineup
Two more acts have been added to the lineup at del Lago Resort & Casino’s Vine Showroom: Country music singer Lorrie Morgan, performing July 16; and comedian Cedric the Entertainer, performing August 5. Both shows start at 8:00 p.m., and tickets will go on sale Friday, April 8 at 10 a.m.
