Sheriff: Canandaigua driver charged with vehicular assault, impaired driving after hitting minor on State Route 444.
The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office says a Canandaigua man faces a vehicular assault charge after he struck a juvenile pedestrian on State Route 444. On May 7 around 2:53 p.m., deputies were dispatched to a crash involving a pedestrian. The child suffered serious injuries and had to be airlifted from the scene.
Lansing death now homicide investigation: Person of interest sought by authorities.
The Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office is seeking public assistance in locating Larry R. Walrad Jr., a person of interest in an investigation into a death in Lansing on March 5. Deputies responded to a Mill Street address initially reported as an “unattended death,” but further investigation by the Criminal Investigative Division and the Tompkins County Medical Examiner’s Office determined the manner of death to be homicide.
