Manchester teen seriously injured trying to save dog hit by car on Rt. 96
A 19-year-old woman from Manchester, New York, was severely injured and airlifted after being hit by a vehicle on State Route 96 near Kyte Road, while attempting to save a dog that had been struck by another vehicle. The incident occurred around 5:00 p.m. in the town of Manchester, according to authorities. The dog, hit by a westbound vehicle, did not survive the accident. The woman was airlifted to a Rochester-area hospital.

Rochester man released after giving deputy concussion at Eastview Mall
The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office says a Rochester man was arrested on an assault charge after an incident involving a police officer. Deputies were called to a disturbance on Wednesday at Art Interpreted in Eastview Mall. The suspect was eventually taken into custody, but not before injuring a responding deputy, as well as deputies at the Ontario County Jail.
