Reported tornado captured on video south of Dryden as severe thunderstorms roll through Finger Lakes
Severe thunderstorms ripped across the Finger Lakes and strengthened more in Central New York on Monday afternoon. There were several tornado-warned storms, and plenty more that had severe thunderstorm warnings associated with them. Among the most notable photos and video that were shared to social media, was what’s been described as a small, unconfirmed tornado around 5 p.m. south of Dryden.
Firefighters called to early-morning Geneva blaze
Firefighters were dispatched to an early-morning fire in the city of Geneva. The fire was reportedly at 73 Andes Avenue, according to first responders. The original call came in around 3:30 a.m. with multiple crews on-scene within minutes.
Ontario man accused of pointing gun at teen says he’s the victim: State police say he was stabbed, but still charged with menacing
Jamie Gilmore, 43, of Ontario, who was charged last month with menacing and criminal possession of a weapon, says he’s innocent. Gilmore is accused of threatening his 17-year-old son with a loaded handgun, but insists that he is the actual victim. He spoke to 13WHAM-TV about his experience and innocence.
