Overnight structure fire on North Creek Road in Palmyra.
Firefighters from several districts in Wayne County were called to a structure fire on North Creek Road. Palmyra and South Macedon fire departments were among the first on-scene during the late-evening hours on Wednesday.
Wolcott pediatrician pleads guilty to child endangerment charge: Forced to surrender medical license.
Pediatrician Adam Weis admitted guilt to a misdemeanor charge of endangering the welfare of a child, altering his plea from not guilty during a court hearing on Wednesday. This plea change came after striking a deal with prosecutors, resulting in Weis agreeing to surrender his medical license and serve a three-year probation period.
Seneca County woman nearly scammed out of $9,500: Public urged to watch out for complex phone scams targeting parents, elderly.
On Wednesday around 2 p.m. a woman received a phone call while at her workplace in Romulus from a person purporting to be her daughter. The victim was then led through a complex scam attempt before it was ultimately thwarted. The scam centered around a person allegedly being held on bail by the Seneca County Sheriff's Office. However, authorities remind residents, especially elderly, that this would never happen.
