Ovid Big M sold to Hermann brothers: Grocery store will be third location for duo.
One of the oldest running grocery stores in the Finger Lakes is changing hands. The Ovid Big M has been sold to Scott and Jake Hermann. The brothers started in the grocery business many years ago working as stockers at Hegedorn’s Market in Webster. The change in ownership means that a nearly 54 year run of Ovid Big M ownership in the McKee family will come to an end.
Geneva YMCA will begin major $4.3M renovation later this month.
The Geneva Family YMCA is set to launch a significant $4.3 million renovation project of its William St. facility, with a groundbreaking ceremony scheduled for Thursday, May 25. The initiative, first planned in 2017 but delayed due to the Covid pandemic, is anticipated to take 15-18 months for completion under the supervision of Massa Construction Inc. Executive Director, Mary Bakogiannis, emphasizes the project's necessity, noting that it will enhance key programs including child care, after school, summer camp, and senior wellness.
