Stabbing in Victor: One dead, another injured as homicide investigation unfolds
State Police in Canandaigua are investigating a fatal stabbing incident that occurred in the early hours of August 5, 2023, on Cunningham Drive in Victor. Two individuals were found wounded in the street at around 2:35 a.m. after Ontario County 911 received reports of a fight. The deceased, 26-year-old Adam C. Record of Manchester, NY, suffered multiple stab wounds and died at the scene.
Troopers: Jeep with dog inside stolen from Waterloo Premium Outlets
New York State Police have issued a public plea for assistance in locating a black 2015 Jeep Cherokee Lattitude stolen on Saturday from the Waterloo Premium Outlets in Seneca County. The vehicle, bearing a Pennsylvania license plate JWK2417, had the owner’s 6-year-old male Morkie dog named ‘Glenn’ inside.
Lyons CSD proposes $51M capital improvement project
The Lyons Board of Education has scheduled a public vote on a proposed $51 million Capital Improvement project on August 30 to renovate and upgrade various district buildings and facilities. The ambitious plan includes reconstruction of the Middle/High School Building, Elementary School Building, and the former Lyons Community Center Building. Additionally, it introduces an elevated pedestrian walkway to connect the high school with the community center and proposes significant structural enhancements at the Elementary School, with the 5th and 6th grades planned to join the junior high.
