We still don’t have a deal in place between WellNow Urgent Care and Excellus BlueCross BlueShield. It wasn’t a very busy night in the Wayne-Finger Lakes High School Basketball league, but we’ve got results from all six games that happened. Penn Yan, South Seneca, Honeoye, and HAC all claimed wins on the boys side; while East Rochester and Gananda won in blowouts on the girls side. There was a special election this week in the town of Ulysses, in which residents turned out in huge numbers to vote down a recreational property purchase. Over 500 voted for the purchase, but nearly twice as many voted against it, which would have utilized ARPA funds to buy a 30-acre property on Kraft Rd. for athletic fields and courts. [Read More]
David Wagenhauser has officially declared his candidacy for the 2024 Congressional race in New York’s 24th District, challenging incumbent Claudia Tenney. And finally, we have unanimous action on Geneva City Council. For the first time in 56 years, the city’s zoning laws have been updated. A number of fixes and outdated ordinances are included in the new zoning, which also addresses short-term rentals. [Read More]
