Geneva residents push back against proposed 21.5% tax hike
A proposal to raise Geneva’s tax levy by 21.5% has sparked concerns from residents and city council members, who fear it could stifle economic development and housing efforts. The city’s proposed 2025 budget includes a $22.3 million general operating plan, a 14.3% increase over the current year, raising the tax levy to $10.7 million.
