Ontario County to host open house for freight rail corridor development plan
In less than two weeks an open house will take place at the Finger Lakes Welcome Center to explore its Freight Rail Corridor Development Plan, which aims to revitalize key rail-enabled industrial and commercial zones along the Finger Lakes Railway. Bath’s Alstom Factory lands $16M for hybrid train development
Alstom’s facility in Bath is set to become a hub for innovative rail technology thanks to nearly $16 million in federal funding. The investment will support the Hybrid Locomotive Project, which aims to develop new battery technology for two hybrid battery-diesel trains.
