A jury has found a Wayne County man guilty of sexual assault. According to a news release from the Wayne County District Attorney’s Office, David Evans, 34, was found guilty of predatory sex assault against a child and attempted rape. The Newark Police Department led the investigation. He was living in Newark at the time of the incident, but wasn’t from the village. [Read More]
In Ontario County Court, Jeffrey Kuney, 45, of Canandaigua, was convicted of serious rape charges, with the potential for a lengthy prison term. Last Thursday, a jury found Kuney guilty of both first-degree rape, which could lead to up to 25 years in prison, and third-degree rape, following his arrest by state police in August 2022.
