Bills suffer more playoff heartbreak, fall to Chiefs for fourth time in five postseasons
The Buffalo Bills came within one win of their first Super Bowl appearance in 31 years but fell short once again, losing to the Kansas City Chiefs 32-29 in the AFC Championship on Sunday night at Arrowhead Stadium. With two minutes left and trailing by three, the Bills faced a pivotal fourth-and-five near midfield. Under heavy pressure, Josh Allen launched a deep pass to Dalton Kincaid, but the ball slipped through Kincaid’s hands, falling incomplete. The Chiefs then closed out the game by picking up two crucial first downs, handing Buffalo their fourth postseason loss to Kansas City in the last five years.

Strong winds to blast Finger Lakes through early-Tuesday
Residents across the Finger Lakes should brace for strong winds and rapidly changing weather conditions over the next two days, according to the National Weather Service. A large storm system passing to the north will create hazardous travel and potential power outages for much of the region. The Weather Service has issued Wind Advisories for Wayne and Ontario counties through 6 a.m. Tuesday. Yates, Seneca, Steuben, and Schuyler counties are also under advisories from noon Monday until 6 a.m. Tuesday.

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office has announced the successful completion of training for its newest K-9 team, Deputy Daniel Jacobsen and his partner, K-9 Frank. The pair completed an intensive six-week program, equipping them to serve the community in a variety of critical roles.
Kubal Coffee Auburn, which opened in late November, closed Friday due to what owner Matt Godard described as “unavoidable economic realities.” In new reporting this week by The Citizen, former employees cited inadequate support, stocking issues, and delayed paychecks as contributing factors to the café’s struggles.
Waterloo Board of Education member Stephani Krzysik resigned Friday, citing personal reasons, just a handful of months into her three-year term. According to the Finger Lakes Times, her resignation halts a planned board discussion on potential removal for alleged misconduct, though no specific allegations were disclosed.
