Yates Community Center receives $1.5M from state for facility
Governor Kathy Hochul announced that the Yates Community Center (YCC) in Penn Yan has been awarded a $1.5 million grant through the Regional Economic Development Council (REDC) initiative. This funding is set to spearhead the construction of a new multi-use indoor facility aimed at enhancing cultural, recreational, and educational access in the area.

Syracuse men’s lacrosse defeats Towson for first NCAA Tournament win since 2017
The Syracuse men’s lacrosse team won its first NCAA Tournament game since 2017 with a 20-15 victory over Towson on Sunday night. The Orange trailed 9-8 at halftime but came out on fire in the third quarter, scoring nine straight goals and never looking back.
