Wayne Co. supervisors inch closer to salary increases
The Wayne County Board of Supervisors approved a 4% salary increase for its members and other county officials during its regular meeting on November 19. Starting in 2025, Board members’ salaries will rise to $19,041, with the Chairman earning $25,651. For 2026, these amounts will increase to $19,802 and $25,677, respectively. These changes are subject to a public hearing scheduled for December 3 at 7:00 p.m. in the Board of Supervisors’ Chambers.

GREAT TRAVEL FIRST HALF OF HOLIDAY WEEK
The first half of the holiday week will feature great travel weather, despite some showers and mostly cloudy conditions. We don’t have any major weather threats until Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. There’s a late-week system the National Weather Service is watching, as well as an ongoing threat for lake effect snow by the time the weekend arrives with MUCH colder weather.
