Two hospitalized after head-on crash in Palmyra
State Route 21 was temporarily closed Sunday evening after a head-on collision between a van and sedan. According to state police, both drivers were transported to Strong Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The man who was dismissed from his role as Seneca County manager has a new gig, or at least one he’ll be starting soon. Kyle Lovell, former Seneca County manager, has been named the new city manager in Oneida. The Finger Lakes Times reported the new job, which comes four months after his dismissal in Seneca County. The planned formation of a Fire District for Odessa has been scrapped, according to officials, who announced Sunday that the proposal had failed. As a result, a hearing scheduled for Oct. 16 has been canceled. Officials explained that towns including Catharine, Montour, Cayuta, Hector, and Veteran will continue to rely on contracts for fire protection services from Odessa Hose. [Read More]
