First responders work quickly after gas leak detected near popular downtown Clyde restaurant
A gas leak in a commercial building triggered an emergency response from the Clyde Fire Department. Firefighters were called to a scene near the Blockhouse Diner. Firefighters and personnel from NYSEG worked to secure the scene, which included drilling holes in the sidewalk to relieve possible pressure created by the gas leak.
Cornell University responds to Antisemitic threats targeting Jewish center
Cornell University President Martha E. Pollack has reported that the Cornell Police Department is actively investigating antisemitic threats made online against the university’s Jewish community. These threats specifically mentioned 104 West, which houses the Center for Jewish Living, prompting a security alert and increased police presence.
GoFundMe launched for family of four who lost everything, including pet in Dundee fire
A local family is trying to recover after losing their home, most of their possessions, and a family pet to a blaze in Dundee. The fire was reported late-Saturday along State Route 14A. A mobile home was completely engulfed in flames, according to first responders. The occupants, identified as Ryan and Samantha Little were able to escape with their two children. However, the family lost a pet in the blaze.
