Twisted Rail Brewing Co., a favored brewery and dining destination along Canandaigua Lake, has temporarily suspended outdoor amplified music after receiving noise complaints from neighboring residents. The Canandaigua Messenger reports at least two complaints emerged from the hotel, which houses condominiums and hotel rooms. One condo owner mentioned at a recent City Council finance committee meeting that the noise was “unbearable.” The brewery’s lease from the city, for the property called the Muar House, allows live music consistent with city ordinances, but prohibits amplified tunes.

Fleming Fire District’s special election on Tuesday saw a low turnout, with only a little over 10% of the town’s registered voters participating. The Auburn Citizen reports that, of the seven resolutions proposed, two key ones faced rejection: the plan to raise the district’s annual spending limit to $450,000 for the next 25 years, and the proposed $1.1 million purchase of a rescue pumper.
