South Seneca superintendent announces retirement after 30 years of service
South Seneca Central School District Superintendent Steve Parker Zielinski will step down from his position on March 7, 2025, marking the end of a distinguished 30-year career in the district. Zielinski, who has served as superintendent for the past twelve years, shared the news in a heartfelt letter to the South Seneca community, expressing gratitude for the opportunity to lead and serve in various capacities, including as a teacher and principal.

Two injured in Benton crash after driver fails to yield at stop sign
A two-car accident in the Town of Benton on Friday evening resulted in two people being transported to the hospital with injuries. Deputies responded to the crash at the intersection of State Route 54 and Pre-Emption Road around 5:50 p.m., where an investigation revealed that Guido M. Cannata, 68, of Cicero, failed to yield at a stop sign, striking a vehicle driven by Brian J. Dillon, 36, of Dresden.
