First up today we have new information stemming from a serious, three-car crash that happened in Seneca County this week. Sheriff Thompson says it happened in the area of State Route 96 and County House Road in Fayette. Two were hospitalized — including the driver that caused the wreck, as well as another driver. After 30 years of service to the Penn Yan Central School District, Superintendent Howard Dennis has announced his retirement, effective January 2025. Dennis began his career in Penn Yan in 1994 as an eighth-grade social studies teacher and spent the last nine years as the superintendent. Governor Hochul has announced a new measure to address the shortage of school bus drivers in New York. The DMV is now implementing a federal waiver that exempts school bus driver applicants from the engine compartment portion of the commercial driver license (CDL) road test.
