Wayne County Sheriff’s Office investigates home invasion in Macedon

Authorities are searching for suspects following a violent home invasion in the Town of Macedon early Friday morning. The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office responded to a 911 call at approximately 4:58 a.m. from a residence on Route 31F, where a couple reported being threatened and restrained by intruders.

Seneca Lake breweries raise $3,000 for lake conservation through PURE Brew campaign

The Seneca Lake Order of Brewers has raised $3,000 for conservation efforts through its successful PURE Brew Campaign, an initiative designed to protect and preserve Seneca Lake. During the final week of July, 11 craft breweries from around the lake came together to create and promote PURE Pils, a collaborative beer that both raised funds and heightened awareness for Seneca Lake conservation.

Police: Savannah man raped woman at gunpoint, threatened her life after attack

State police have arrested a Wayne County man following an investigation into a sexual assault at his home. According to authorities, Matthew Foro, 47, held a woman at gunpoint and raped her. He threatened her life if she told police, according to investigators.
