One Dead After Canandaigua House Fire
A house fire on Jefferson Avenue in Canandaigua claimed one life Saturday morning. Fire crews arrived at 8:40 a.m. to find heavy smoke and a person trapped inside. Despite a rescue effort, the individual was pronounced dead at the scene. Two other residents were taken to UR Thompson Hospital for smoke inhalation and are expected to recover.
