A three-vehicle collision near Bristol Mountain on State Route 64 in South Bristol resulted in multiple injuries and road closure. Samantha Romanick, a 35-year-old from Rochester, was exiting Bristol Mountain and collided with a southbound vehicle driven by Daniel Norris, 57, of Rushville. The impact caused Norris’s vehicle to hit a northbound bus carrying local school students, who fortunately remained unharmed. [KEEP READING]
In Wayne County, a discussion on the potential dissolution of the Village of Wolcott has raised more questions than answers. Assemblyman Brian Manktelow, drawing from his experience with Lyons’ dissolution in 2015, spoke at a meeting organized by the Committee to Dissolve the Village of Wolcott. Winter Weather Advisory: How much snow falls in the FLX?
Expect a mixed bag of precipitation across the Finger Lakes region today with some locations picking up a decent amount of wet, slushy snow. Precipitation is moving northward across Upstate New York and will bring a few inches of accumulation, as it changes from rain to snow by noon, across the higher elevations.
John Walsh, an Auburn native, has made a triumphant return to FOX as the host of “America’s Most Wanted,” the influential series he originally launched in 1988. The show’s comeback season premiered this Monday to an impressive audience of 2.1 million viewers. After the original series ended on FOX in 2011, Walsh briefly continued the show on Lifetime until 2013, followed by hosting similar programs on other networks. [KEEP READING]
The Humane Society of Wayne County has embarked on the “Raise the Woof” capital campaign to fund a new, modern shelter. The current facility, retrofitted from a residential building in 1990, is inadequate for today’s animal care standards. With New York’s new Animal Shelter Standards Law looming, HSWC faces the necessity of a new building to meet these regulations and better serve the community’s stray, lost, and surrendered animals.
