Victor woman seriously injured after being accidentally run over by husband in Manchester
A 74-year-old woman was seriously injured Saturday night after being accidentally run over by her husband while they were leaving a restaurant in the Town of Manchester. State police and other authorities responded to the scene and had to act quickly to prevent more serious injury.

A garage fire early Sunday morning caused damage to a home in the Town of Canandaigua, though the homeowners and their pets escaped unharmed. The fire was contained to the garage, but the residence, belonging to Michael and Melissa Fiorentino, sustained smoke and water damage on both the first and second floors. [MORE]
The Yates County Community Endowment, in collaboration with the Rochester Area Community Foundation, awarded $155,300 in grants to 22 non-profit organizations serving the county. A bicyclist was airlifted to the hospital following a car vs. bicycle crash at the intersection of Perrine and Washington streets in Auburn late Saturday night. Mercy Flight Central was dispatched and landed near the fire station on Seymour Street. [MORE]
A lightning strike earlier this month damaged the traffic signal at the intersection of Walworth-Marion Road and Walworth-Ontario Road, leaving it inoperable. Walworth officials provided an update, explaining that the signal currently flashes yellow for east-west traffic and red for north-south traffic. [MORE]
Students unveil mural at Corning Community College
A new mural, titled Cosmic Connections, was unveiled Friday at Corning Community College’s Schuyler Hall after a nine-month collaboration between local students and a professional mural artist. The project was led by students from the High School Learning Center and facilitated by New York City-based artist Alice Mizrachi.
