Seneca County receives proposals for Willard redevelopment
Seneca County has received a promising set of proposals for the redevelopment of the former Willard Drug Treatment Center, following a Request for Proposals (RFP) issued in July. The county received eleven responses, four of which demonstrate specific interest in portions of the historic 550-acre site.

A collision involving a school bus on State Route 417 in the town of Erwin on Wednesday afternoon left a 5-year-old child airlifted to Strong Memorial Hospital. According to New York State Police, the incident occurred around 4:09 p.m. when a 2018 Dodge, driven by Leanna A. Byler, 40, of Addison, failed to stop for an Addison Central School bus traveling in the opposite lane. [Read More]
The Penn Yan Village Board has approved a plan allowing the fire-damaged Penn Yan Diner to operate a temporary food truck to help raise funds for its rebuilding, according to The Finger Lakes Times.
