Fall foliage has reached peak in the Finger Lakes: Time is running out to see colors
As the curtain falls on October, New York State’s vivid autumn colors are painting the southern regions, offering stunning views particularly in the Finger Lakes region. Cayuga County’s Auburn expects a 95% foliage transformation, showcasing muted yellows and browns and pops of red. Elmira in Chemung County anticipates an 85% change, characterized by hues of gold, orange, rust, and yellow. Meanwhile, Rochester in Monroe County predicts a visual treat with up to 95% color transition, revealing a rich tapestry of yellows, reds, and oranges.
