The Cayuga Nation has responded after being accused of cutting off a Cayuga County school from its natural gas supply. The Nation says the Union Springs School District has been illegally extracting over $100,000 worth of natural gas annual from their well without payment. [KEEP READING]
The delay has paid off for lawmakers in Albany. Governor Kathy Hochul and New York legislative leaders reached a preliminary agreement on a state budget totaling $237 billion, an increase from the initial $233 billion proposal. The Yates County Sheriff’s Office provided an update on a fatal crash that claimed the life of a 31-year-old. According to a news release, deputies responded with Penn Yan Ambulance, Branchport/ Keuka Park Fire, Yates EMS and Yates County OES to a single car motor vehicle crash at the intersection of Skyline Drive and East Bluff Drive on Monday around 8:30 a.m. [KEEP READING]

The fallen heroes have been identified as Syracuse Police Officer Michael Jensen, 29, from Rome, New York, and Onondaga County Sheriff’s Deputy Michael Hoosock, 37, from Clay, New York.
