First up today we have the latest in a new legal battle between the Cayuga Nation and owners of the Finger Lakes Drive-In. The Nation has blocked the entrance to the property, effectively forcing the business to remain closed. The issue is a previous land-use agreement, which property owners say should be honored, while the Nation contends it has no relevance today. [READ MORE]

Richard Nielens Jr., a former supervisor for the town of Mentz, is facing charges related to a child sex crime. The 65-year-old, also a former member of the Mentz Town Board, has been charged with disseminating indecent material to minors, a class D felony, and endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor. And finally — state police are resuming efforts to get answers in a longtime cold case. A deceased male infant, known locally as “Baby Wayne” was found on February 27, 1987 in the town of Marion.
