Skeletal remains discovered by a surveying crew at 434 E. Union St. in Newark on Monday have been identified as Kevin Heise, the Monroe County Medical Examiner confirmed. Heise was reported missing in September 2022. At approximately 3:08 p.m., deputies responded to the scene where Gary A. Shoff, 72, of Penn Yan, was stopped in traffic waiting to turn into a farm lane.
