Big vote coming in Gorham as residents decide on future of highway superintendent
Last month the Gorham Town Board voted 4-1 to approve Local Law 3-2024 during a public hearing, paving the way for the restructuring of the Highway Superintendent position from an elected role to an appointed one. The decision follows months of debate and input from residents at the meeting. The question at hand: Should the Town fundamentally change how it manages the highway superintendent's office? Now, in a matter of days—voters in Gorham will make the final decision.
