ESL Federal Credit Union to acquire Generations Bank in blockbuster deal
Rochester-based ESL Federal Credit Union has announced a deal to acquire Generations Bank and its parent company, Generations Bancorp NY, Inc., in a $26.2 million cash transaction. The agreement, approved by both companies’ boards, involves the purchase of most of Generations Bank’s assets and liabilities, including its deposit accounts. “We believe this partnership reflects our dedication to enhancing value for our shareholders while ensuring expanded financial services and membership benefits for the future,” Generations President & CEO Angela Krezmer said.

Reliant Credit Union is extending its efforts to make homeownership a reality for first-time buyers through the Homebuyer Dream Program™, a grant initiative that provides up to $20,000 toward down payments and closing costs.
