Utility truck collides with rail bridge in Shortsville, knocking it off foundation
On Tuesday around 8 a.m. deputies from the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office responded with other first responders to the intersection of East Avenue and Clark Street in the village of Shortsville. Deputies say a 2019 Freightline utility truck owned by Ferguson Electric and operated by 45-year-old Gregory Hale, of Manchester was traveling north on East Avenue when he struck the bridge just north of the Clark Street intersection.
