Millions in Bonds for Finger Lakes School Projects
Governor Kathy Hochul announced that $956.8 million in low-cost, tax-exempt bonds were issued in June to support 69 school districts across New York State. The funds, issued through the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York (DASNY), will finance projects like classroom renovations, athletic field improvements, energy upgrades, safety enhancements, and technology updates.

NEW TRAIL: Nature lovers can now enjoy a new trail system on Bad Bear Hill in Steuben County. The Finger Lakes Land Trust (FLLT) has opened six miles of trails on its recently acquired property in the towns of Lindley and Erwin. [Read More]
Mets hold off Yankees in Subway Series opener
The Mets (38-39) held off the Yankees (52-29), 9-7, in the Subway Series opener on Tuesday night at Citi Field. Gerrit Cole gave up four home runs and allowed six runs in four innings. Mark Vientos hit two homers off Cole, while Harrison Bader and Brandon Nimmo also took him deep.
