New York Won’t Require Regents Exams for Graduation
Regents exams will no longer be a graduation requirement for New York State students. The State Department of Education announced the change several months after reviewing the findings of the Blue Ribbon Commission on Graduation Measures. Education advocates are grateful since studies show no evidence exit exams increase student achievement or raise a high school diploma’s value.

NY State Fair Offers One-Day Ticket Discount
The New York State Fair is having a one-day “flash sale” on Thursday, offering tickets for $6 each. The sale begins at 9 a.m. on the State Fair website, with a limit of four tickets per customer. This deal includes a 28-cent fee, making the total $6.28 per ticket.
