The shelter, intended to be developed by Housing Visions at the site of the former Holy Family School on North Street, faced public opposition. And finally a potential crisis was averted at the Ithaca Tompkins International Airport Monday evening when a single-engine private plane made a safe landing after declaring an emergency. Yankees’ DJ LeMahieu to begin season on injured list
The New York Yankees will be without their usual leadoff hitter and third baseman when they open the season in Houston on Thursday. General manager Brian Cashman told reporters Monday that DJ LeMahieu will not be ready for Opening Day and will start the season on the injured list.
