Two separate inmate attacks at Five Points Correctional Facility resulted in injuries to 15 officers, including 10 who were treated for smoke inhalation after an inmate set a fire inside his cell.

Dansville angler wins top prize in National Lake Trout Derby
William Welch of Dansville took home the grand prize in the 60th annual National Lake Trout Derby held over Memorial Day weekend. Competing against 615 other anglers, Welch landed a 12.36-pound lake trout, earning him $10,000.
