Heavy rain, tornado risk through afternoon for FLX: Communities ready for flood potential
The remnants of Beryl are expected to bring heavy rain and the risk of tornadoes to the region on Wednesday. The main wave of heavy rain will arrive later this morning, affecting the morning commute. While this initial rain won’t be severe, it may cause localized flooding. Additional thunderstorms are expected as a warm front moves northward, possibly bringing spin-up tornadoes and damaging winds, especially in the Finger Lakes area. Heavy rain will taper off by Wednesday night.
